Summary: Disappointing
Comment: I need to learn Spanish as my wife is Mexican and I want to converse with my in-laws.
Sadly I did not find this program at all useful. I have been learning the basics of Spanish from a book, and was looking for some simple software to improve a) My understanding of grammar, e.g. past/future tenses and b) My vocabulary.
The software tries to be too clever by offering word games such as Crosswords, or "rearrange this sentence". The problem being that anyone with half a brain can work out the answer using logic rather than actually translating the words.
Also I did not use the speech microphone function as I like to use this on my laptop while the family are watching TV.
I still get the feeling there is something I missed when I was using this software, but at the price I feel you would be better off buying a couple of books and asking a friend or family member to test you on vocab.

Summary: I can indeed speak spanish
Comment: An easy, fun and affortable way to understand and talk spanish! You just download the 2 programs from the CD (the one is just words in different categories eg. numbers, countries, verbs, beverages etc and the other program is how to put those words into sentences.)
The games, the structure of the page layout, the speaking exercises (you can accually record your own voice!) and the multimedia in general, they all contribute to make your learning interesting!
I absolutely reccommend it but i will advice you to also have a spanish friend at hand in order to practise what you have learned!
