Summary: excellent
Comment: My little boy is only 4 months old and loves this DVD. It was bought as a gift from a friend whos babies also loved it. At first it seems strange (not very modern parenting) to park your little baby in front of the TV, but he enjoys it so much I now feel like a mean mummy when I turn it off. His favorite is the green dragon and he squeals in delight when it comes on the screen. It's a very simple format suitable for small babies, in fact I would imagine toddlers might find it boring. Definately worth every penny as my son has watched it every day for nearly a month.

Summary: Baby Mozart is a hit with my 9 month old!
Comment: This comes highly recommended from an original cynic! The music and images are fun, stimulating, but can also calm.It has now got me hooked on Mozart as well as my daughter!I would highly recommend this to any mum who likes peace and quiet whilst knowing that this is a quality interactive product.Try it and see!

Summary: My baby loves Baby Mozart
Comment: What is not to love. Wonderful classical music complimenting various visual delights for baby (and mum!). The video is made up of different objects used in motion, stuffed toys, and other sequences which build up about 30 minutes worth of stimulation. Watch your baby gasp at the various noises and activities and see her smile and dance with the music. Just one of the Baby Einstein range which compliments the set superbly.

Summary: It really works!
Comment: This video really works! What you will see when you watch is essentially a series of colourful toys and objects that move in synchrony to some very pleasant music by Mozart. Somehow, this cleverly thought-out display is exactly what babies want to see and it keeps them glued to the screen for the whole half hour (this is what I have experienced with my baby and many, many of my friends say the same thing). One of the strengths of this video is that it is not too fast-paced or over-stimulating for babies as much children's TV is. On the contrary, it moves at a very appropriate speed which lends itself well to learning - babies can actually see the pictures before they change and if you were in the room, could point out the names of objects. What's more, it can be a very peaceful and relaxing activity. My 9 month-old will often watch this at the end of the day when he is too tired to really play actively and it helps ward off that pre-bedtime grumpiness. Finally, a real advantage .. the sounds of Mozart wafting through the house are far less intrusive to other family members than the likes of Noddy (annoying music) and Fimbles (need I say more!?).

Summary: Short Term Pleasure
Comment: We loved this video...my Grand-daughter was transfixed...But it wore out very quickly...how long should a video last? After about ten showings it was showing signs of wear and broke soon after...My Grand daughter is still heart broken and asks for the tape every day, but I am reluctant to buy another if the quality is not good enough..kids want to see their favorite stories hundreds of times... This aspect was disapointing.

It's called "the Mozart Effect", the notion that exposing youngsters to the melodies of the maestro can improve verbal ability, spatial intelligence, creativity and memory. It's a pretty big leap of faith to understand that effect unless you personally see a toddler react to the stimulation. The Baby Einstein folks have a series of tapes (Baby Einstein is also available) that add visual stimulation to the bouncy recordings (using vibraphone, Rhodes electric piano and even a glockenspiel). The melodies are heard against colourful imagery of spinning tops, wave machines, soft baby toys, mobiles and the like. Several parenting groups and magazines have heralded the tapes for children of one to 36 months old, but the Orwellian aspect of introducing babes in arms to the TV screen may cause many to resort to Mozart's music. --Doug Thomas
