Summary: Pretty Good although Looks a little Dated
Comment: This is quite a good dictionary and the albeit simple games are quite good to build up vocabulary and you can make up your own tests as well as random words.
The ability to search the database is a little basic and I think it could easily be improved in future versions.
However, it is quite good but if all you want is a dictionary, the pop up ones are better (e.g PONS, Oxford Duden)

Comment: This would be ok for GCSE students, but it doesn't have enough detail.
The word schein has both suffixes and prefixes, but to view the prefix of geldschein you have to type in geld and not schein.
Whereas in a good dictionary it would be in front of you and there are not enough phrases showing the words being used in context.

Summary: It's not perfect but...
Comment: I already had the French-English version and was delighted with that, so I was very pleased to see that the other languages when when-set up attach to each other and that each language can be accessed separately by only a click of the right mouse button. Most of the time I confess I use it for doing the crosswords. This attribute is very interesting, because of the grading of the crosswords and the score-keeping, so that it is possible to increase one's vocabulary quite noticeably in a very short space of time. Used as a dictionary, even without the audio facility, the icon is always on view. Don't buy it expecting an automatic translator,though, that's not, thank Goodness, the claim for it; there are enough cheap and nasty versions of that will-o-the-wisp. Used correctly it is a very welcome and easily managed tool for human translation. The audio translations are by professional native speakers, and there is a recording facility for comparing and improving one's own pronunciation.
