Comment: This is a really great selection of CD's. We have two children aged 4 and 5 1/2 and have used a variety of CD software from DK, Sesame Street and the I discover science series (also from Knowledge Adventure) and I rate these quite highly from everything I've seen. The pack is split into 3 CD's
General - addition & subtraction, simple fractions, money, measuring & weighing, parts of speech, european geographty, british history, solar system, art & music
Maths- Addition & subtraction, multiplication, fractions, counting money, telling the time, measurement, geometry and logic and problem solving
Reading - Phonics, spelling, vocabulary, parts of speech, word classification, verb tenses, contractions and reading comprehension
The list above initially looks a little overwhelming, but it is presented in a graphically entertaining way that makes it fun for the child to learn and play. The token system awards progress really draws them into developing their skills. Starting out you can set up each child independently, which helps manage their skill levels, this can be easily varied from task to task and a simple school report shows the areas your child enjoys and their level of success. We also have used Year 1 in the same series and I would put this software (year 2)in an age range of 5 to 7, if your children have been using other educational sofware and have basic reading maths. Our son is quite at home on some of the exercises and with help has started to expand the activities he enjoys playing. If you have younger children get them started on year one in the same series. The software is very good quality when compared to some other kids educational software products which sometimes seem to have been developed 10+ years ago. Once your children have picked up on some of the key skills, then they really start to have fun by themselves. I don't think you would regret this purchase, if want to have fun learning with your children.

Summary: Great Fun
Comment: I initially bought this for my 6 year old daughter because I thought it to be excellent value. Little did I know how much she would love it. The characters are good fun and there are many different puzzles to solve. Her attention is held for hours as she explores the "land" she is in. Her skills in literacy, maths and problem solving have improved. I think the idea of being able to set the difficulty rating is an excellent idea.
