Comment: The problem is people buy this book thinking it will help with A+ exams and waste money like myself.
It might be very useful to people who want to learn something about pc hardware installation etc but im disappointed that i was made to believe it was more.
I didn't like the book because its meant to help with A+ exam and it fails.I don't understand how people gave this book good reviews.
I was quite shocked at how useless the book is.Are you sure its meant for A+ exam?I have bought various A+ books and all have helped except this book.
The introduction is around 40 pages long and to me is more like a DIY Handbook.For example instead of giving you information about different types of ram which you need to know it merely tells you how to install it.
The title discription of this book is misinformative and the book seems very short.

Comment: If you are studying for the A+, this book has to be in your library. It's well written, and gives excellent real world examples for you to follow.
If you're not studying for the A+, but you still want to know more about real world PC and user support, then this book should still be on your must have list.

Summary: For hands-on labs for the A+ exam, get this book!
Comment: If you need some hands-on practice for the A+ exams, you really ought to invest a little in your career and buy this book. After all, most of us learn by doing... and in my opinion, there are no better hands-on practice scenarios than the labs included in this book. The step-by-step directions for each lab are clear, and Pyles' writing style is interesting and easy to understand. The book is also filled with helpful notes, tips, and warnings, many of which are critical for you to know for the A+ exams.
In short, I highly recommend this book to anyone studying for the A+ certification. Not only will it help you pass the exams, but more importantly, it will also make you a much better tech.

Summary: PERFECT FOR NEW STARTERS AND ADVANCED USERS ALIKE!!!
Comment: I havent read the book all the way through. But have checked some of the scenarios and its all down to a PERFECT T!!!
This book is for anyone (and I mean anyone) who wants to get started in IT or just how to build or repair PCs.
Everything is detailed out the way it should be and you wont be stumped with all the jargon either.
I will recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about computers and how they work. TOP NOTCH!
