Summary: Amazing!
Comment: I only had 2 weeks left till my AS Chem exam and this book got me through it. All information in this group is relevant to exam past papers. Having gone through many past papers I have found that the book has been made to suit the exam paper style questions, which was extremely helpful.
There are a few questions at the end of each double page to check your revision progress, and these questions are taken from past examination papers, which again was very useful. A short combination of the modules into one paper is avaliable at the end of the book and answers are provided with clear illustrations and guidance for ALL questions.
Calculations are shown step by step and many diagrams are used to help with your understanding. This book covered the ESSENTIAL points needed to pass the exam. SOOO WORTH IT.

Summary: Brilliant
Comment: If you're doing the salters course, this book is great!
Although, the course is changing for 2009 i think, so it may be less relavent then, although the majority of the information will still be applicable.
This book is not enough to pass the exam however, and should be used WITH the Chemical Ideas and Storylines book that are provided. The main point about this book, is that it does a good job of summarizing the information, so that before the exam, you can revise it more easily, rather than having to read like a 500 page book.
I'd reccommend this book (AND the one for A2) for anyone doing the Salters(OCR) chemistry course.

Summary: Very good if your doing this course
Comment: This book is brilliant.
not only does it get rid off all the less important stuff from the bigger books, it puts only the relevant parts in and with information from other chapeters sometimes
not only that, it also has all the chemical ideas information that you need to know
this book is essential!
