Summary: This book was helpful but is not the best for ECDL
Comment: I bought this book to study for ECDL on a distance-learning basis using a CD Rom. It was printed in colour, so was user friendly to read and it had invaluable summaries of shortcuts for each module (which I copied and carried around with me before exams). However, it had a few mistakes and did not cover each module in as much detail as you would wish if distance-learning or if you're not very IT literate and doing ECDL. I bought another book 'ECDL 4: The complete coursebook for office XP'by Brendan Munnelly which I thought was better at explaining the course requirements.
The two books used in conjunction were very good and I completed my ECDL in October 2007.

Summary: Excellent!! Couldn't do course without it.
Comment: This book is written in easy to understand terms, perfect for a novice like me!!
I started the course in September of this year and have already passed 3 units!
I am self taught, so there have been lots of bad habits to break, but so far so good!
I thoroughly recommend this book and disk to anyone who is doing the ECDL course or to anyone thinking of doing it, great investment and you can sell it on afterwards.

Summary: Good for reference
Comment: I bought this book as it was required for my ECDL college taught course. We followed the modules through and did all the exercises - however, there are some errors which our tutor pointed out! It is clearly laid out and the exercises are useful. I passed within 6 months!
