Summary: Good - but not complete
Comment: I'm sorry but if you gave this book anymore than 3 stars either you don't do economics or you aren't aiming higher than a C. Covers main points of the whole A-level but lacks missing chunks, in particular work and leisure markets. Unfortunately there isn't one complete book out there, you have to do additional reading.

Comment: This is an essential book for the as/a level ocr modules. It provides all the basics and even more. Use this along with reading articles in papers and you are guaranteed at least a B. I got an A at as level and just finished my a levels this year and im sure i got an A.

Summary: Covers the main themes
Comment: The book covers the basics you need to know for each module in specific chapters. For AS this book is adequate but for A2 its lacks evaluation. Much of the arguments are inferred and it is woefully thin on market structures for the Work and Leisure module. It lacks detail essentially, for example the development section lacks detail on the IMF and sounds very generalized not using much economic terminology. When revising for Development I found this book was bias against the IMF and contradicts some information on the IMF website.
Anderton provides more definitions and explanations of the concepts needed for the exam. A combination of this and another textbook work best for A2 level. The book looks big but has huge empty white margins around the text. It should be rewritten from a more analytical perspective with more examples.

Comment: This really is the book to buy if you are an A-Level economics student. Everything is neatly laid out according to module and easy to follow. Revision has been a doddle with this book as it gathers all my notes together in one handy, intelligent textbook. The best out there for OCR Economics
