Summary: It illuminated what my daughter was experiencing

Comment: After shouting at my daughters school for 5 years and getting nowhere fast the gift was recommended by a friend - its the best book I've ever bought. Not only did it help me understand what my daughter was going through - it gave me detailed advice about how to help her through her nightmare.

Summary: Good anecdotal examples

Comment: My grandson is a 7 year old dyslexic. This book falls clearly into two parts. The first part explains dyslexia in an interesting way with many examples from the author's own experience which help. The second part documents the author's treatment methods. I found the first part very interesting and helpful. I speed read the second part because it is written in a tutorial style aimed at someone who plans to carry out the "treatment". I was less interested in this part as I would need to establish the credibility of the treatment before I planned to use it.
