Summary: Useful, but a little restrictive
Comment: As noted by other reviewers, this book provides useful practice exercises for tenses you have already learnt. However, subsequent tests build on previous ones and this presents a major weakness due to the somewhat idiosyncratic presentation order.
For example, imperfect is presented before preterite and the tests on preterite include imperfect, so you either have to wait until you've learned both, or work around the imperfect bits. Not a big problem admittedly, but it adds unnecessary complication.
Worse, irregular verbs are not visited pretty much until the end, after all of the tenses and moods have been covered. Since the tests on irregular verbs mix up the tenses, students who have only done, say present and preterite, will find these sections of limited value. That's a shame because testing on irregular conjugations is probably the thing that most students want to get the most practice in.
A further, though minor, gripe is that verb clauses are presented in isolation in all of the exercises, unlike the Practice Makes Perfect Verb Tenses book (from the same publisher) which provides helpful context (phrases or sentences) in its exercises.

Summary: Spanish Verb Drills - Muy bien!
Comment: Excellent coverage of spanish perfect for post beginners/GCSE students, easy to understand and great for revision near exam time. i would recommend this book to anyone who studies spanish even those who are fluent as it is a great way to brush up on your grammar if you are a bit rusty with your verb tenses etc. Muy bien!

Summary: The perfect book for self-taught students
Comment: I have found this book to be one of the most useful tools in learning, digesting and remembering verb conjugations. The book is divided into sections that proceed from the most basic conjugations to the less-used and more complicated ones. It gives a brief explanation of each conjugation, it's meaning and use, and then a series of drills to test your knowledge. It also includes comprehensive lists of the irregular forms for each conjugation and the verbs used in idiomatic expressions.
For this book to be truly rewarding, though, you must already have a base in Spanish grammar and have some idea of how the various conjugations are used.
This book gives the practice needed to master the conjugation of verbs, and at the same time, slowly introduces a number of new verbs throughout the book, thus expanding your vocabulary. I highly recommend this book for intermediate students and advanced Spanish speakers who want a little review.
