Summary: the best AVAILABLE portuguese dictionary
Comment: currently on market there are just two reasonable portuguese-english-portuguese dictionaries; this one and oxford paperback. oxford one is 5% more accurate when you're learning european portuguese but it's got exactly two times less word and expression translations.

Comment: I'm learning Portuguese and I wanted a dictionary that was better than my pocket sized one. I'm not sure that this one is.
The print is clear and blue colour helps a bit.
It does not have enough words in it to be able to read a simple magazine or newspaper article. It's bigger and heavier than a pocket dictionary but if you want a fairly comprehensive Portuguese English dictionary, this isn't it.
