Summary: not worth the money
Comment: You will never learn the language this way. This product is a piece of crap and not worth the money. It teaches incorrect grammar and non-colloquial speech. You will never understand a real Korean person who tries to talk to you. I know...I've tried this expensive box of junk and all it gave me were laughs.

Summary: BUY THIS IS YOU WANT TO LEARN KOREAN
Comment: AMAZING - that is all i can say.
This is VERSION 3 !!! I've used older versions of rosetta stone and this new version three (level 1) is like a brand new program. (the older version was not so good - do not buy the older version in any circumstance)
The best improvement with the new version is that it is now very well structured. It is just great for korean because it really helps with the pronunciation.
I am absolutely blown away by this awesome product.

Summary: Fantastic Software
Comment: I highly recommend Rosetta Stone to anyone that is interested in learning a language. I truly believe that it is, by far, the most effective way to learn a language. I am really impressed from the upgrades from level two to level three as well. Definitely a great buy for anyone interested in learning Korean.

Summary: Serious erros
Comment: My wife, native-English speaker, bought level 1 Korean in order to communicate with my family, Korean. I think Unit or chapter 1 was pretty good and I liked the way you can actually improve your pronunciation. However, it is not long until I found very serious problems. Some sentences it teaches were totally wrong, weird that are grammatically wrong, which no Koreans speak that way. I hope it would be fine for the rest of CD since we paid ridiculously much. I need to wait and see if it has any more weird sentences. I just cannot imagine that they put these weird sentences. Didn't they have them read by native Koreans? How come these sentences are here?

Summary: Junk Headset
Comment: Upon receiving the $500 box and opening it, I found a very cheap microphone headset Made in China with one of the ear cushions completely torn off with no way of attaching the electronic lines back on. The other ear cushion was out of its socket, too, but with the electronic lines intact. This piece of junk is of course useless. In order to use the speech recognition component of the product, I'd have to get a new headset. I'm not even going to bother with returning the item just to get the same cheap piece of junk even if it's going to work. It looked like the total manufacturing cost for this junk was less than $2. I figure if I'm going to spend $500 for a language software, I might as well get a decent headset elsewhere to make a good use of the speech recognition component. Of course I don't know how good the speech recognition is since I have yet to find out.
As for the Rosetta Stone's customer service.... just forget it, don't even bother trying to contact them. You'll be forever holding onto your phone for some sign of life at the other end. My email attempt to get a question in was unanswered now for two months.
Shame on you, Rosetta Stone.
