Summary: Corel X2 and Video Studio Review
Comment: Corel Pro Photo X2 Ultimate is pretty good. There are are couple of features that I am not crazy about.
The first one is the select ion tool. When I use the selection tool and paste the item as a new selection and click on the image, it promotes the image as a new layer. I hate this.
Crtrl-Y does work as expected. I expect this as a Redo. So this is a paint.
Other than that it work pretty well.
It did crash now and then when I use the digital noise removal feature.

Now for Video Studio - This product is OK at best. It was stable, but lacks much versatility that I expected from a product that I had to paid for. I could have stayed with the Movie Maker from MS. For example, I could not adjust the fading of my music. What's up with that?
I couldn't figure out how to make a hybrid DVD.
I admit, I did not read the manual. However, I feel I am savy enough that I can figure out the product.
My advice is to not buy the bundle but just the Photo. The video is not worth the cost.

Summary: COREL BETTER THAN NERO HANDS DOWN
Comment: Those who have used video editing software before will find Video Studio Pro X2 powerful yet intuitive. The novice might seem overwhelmed at first but will find Corel easy to learn very quickly. There are video instructions on the software disc which explain each powerful feature. Corel also includes detailed printed documentation manuals (for both Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 & Video Studio Pro x2)for quick and easy reference. Printed manuals is something not usually found these days. The software is loaded with features to numerous to mention here but believe me you can do almost any type of editing with it. Just use your imagination. You can render projects in either standard or high definition very quickly. You will need a computer capable of handling the program properly. I'm using one with Intel Pent dual core quad processing at 2.66 and it works extremely well. I can render a standard definition 40 minute project (including burning to disc)in about 45 minutes. High Def takes about 1-1/2 hrs.
I have not really fully tested Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 yet-but my preliminary findings rate this product high as well.
In conclusion the bundle is well worth the investment. You will not be disappointed. Get this one.

Comment: The video software is very good, but note that If you have the free trial, It will need to be uninstalled for the program to install right. Also, When entering the product code. you don't put in any spaces.
One installed it works very fluently and produces good output though the Keying could be better.
I had already owned Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 so I didn't install it. I will eventually to see if it has its claimed better Vista performance.
Note that Painter essential PHOTO does not let you paint your own picture like the normal Painter essential.
The background removing tool is useful.
All in all, this program is worth your money
