Summary: Norton AntiVirus 2009 3-User Seems Improved
Comment: I have only installed the Norton AntiVirus 2009 3-User product today, but so far the installation, registration, and activation all seem to have gone more smoothly than past versions. I was happy to see this, as I have often had installation difficulties in the past with the Norton AV products. I have used Norton for years, ever since I worked for a local ISP, whose owner would have nothing but Norton on all of his machines! In my opinion, it is about the most comprehensive and best out there at this time.

Comment: I, too, upgraded to 2009 and now my computer constantly locks up. I have disabled Norton permanently until I can (hopefully) get back to Norton 2008. Very disappointed.

Summary: need a zero star option
Comment: I also took advantage of the offer to upgrade my NAV2008 with a few months left in my license. That was several days ago and I'm still fighting. It won't run and won't uninstall. It loads a few processes and hangs - for at least 8 hours (then I killed the processes). Even when it's as turned off as I can get it it won't let me access the pop server I use for email. I'm not an IT professional, but I have been using these things since the dual 360k floppy - pre hard disk - days and been my own IT resource. I've never been this stumped - or irritated. (I have a recent dual-processor Dell with lots of RAM and disk space).
