Summary: Quality Plus
Comment: Quicken Home and Business 2009 is perfect for any small business. I manage properties, and this has proven to service these accounts above and beyond. It is excellent for preparation of the data that you need to prepare your tax returns, and doing on-line banking.
On-line banking without Quicken Home and Business still leaves you with a lot of work to do at the end of the year.
I have and will continue to recommend this product.
Try it, you will like it!

Quicken Home and Business 2009 is really loaded with bugs. After installation it tells you to get the upgrade to R2, which will hang permanently while it looks for MS Outlook. Quicken support told me to uninstall and then refuse the upgrade. The online banking is so bad I uninstalled it and reinstalled 2007. When enabling transaction download, 2009 insists that you create a new account, even though you''re trying to online-enable an existing one, so you have to copy all the transactions over to the new account. I had to disable and re-enable several accounts to get online banking to work at all, and then after a week it started displaying error messages about locked accounts (which worked fine after reinstalling 2007). I recommend you avoid 2009 until Intuit fixes it, which will be R3 or later. If you use online banking, it's not usable right now.

Summary: Quicken gets better
Comment: I have been a Quicken user over 12 years commencing with the Deluxe, graduating to QH&B which helps me separate my personal from minor business accounts.
The windows in windows provide valuable & immediate information at a touch of the mouse.
I recommend Quicken to anyone. It does not make you an accountant but it makes you account for your finances.

Summary: Nothing new
Comment: I've used Quicken for 15yrs+, buy every major upgrade. But this one has no new significant features, it adveritses some, but they don't stand out. I think there might be some extension of current features, but it's not changed my organization or advanced my reporting or insight in any new ways. I would not buy this particular upgrade had I known how insignificant this upgrade is for current users. I gave three stars because overall Quicken is still a GREAT product, just a useless upgrade for current users.

Summary: Steep learning curve for this app
Comment: Its been a month of using this and it is working well, but I have only just touched on what this app can do. Sometimes it feels like there is just too much to learn. The business part is good at tracking my deductions. But it is missing the SE health insurance tracking. Another minor problem, no tools exist for Health Savings Accounts. Finally I tried out the life planning feature, but some of the questions it asked I couldn't answer. If you want the most of this application, do your self a favor and get a book to learn how to use it.
As well, it feels so old. They have the new [...] but there is no synchronizing between the desktop app and the web app. They need to give this application a major overhaul. I used this application last as Quicken 97 and it feels like the same app but with new pieces tacked on.
