Summary: Beware! Never shows up
Comment: Don't order magazines from Amazon! I don't know if this is a publisher issue or what but I ordered June 4, 2008, still no magazine by Sep 30, 2008. Amazon (after multi holds etc.) tells me that I am on my own with the publisher. Will reverse charges. Poor service!!!
Customer Rating:
Summary: Excellent Deal!!
Comment: I got an excellent deal for Discover magazines through the ' daily lightning deals' section. You should check this out, you might catch something for a price you hardly imagined.
Customer Rating:
Summary: Science both Accessible and Interesting
Comment: As someone with a casual interest in science, I find this magazine both accessible and interesting. It doesn't talk down to the reader, yet it is not overwhelming either. The articles are on a good mix of topics, from mental illness to NASA to genetic profiling. I would definitely recommend Discover to anyone who has checked out science news on a general news site like CNN.com. This magazine will amply supplement your science news consumption. A+
Customer Rating:
Summary: Terrible, biased, agenda-ridden, political garbage. Not interesting nor scientific.
Comment: Yet another magazine with a blatant liberal bias. Every single article is written by a leftist, un-objective amateur.
Not suitable for bird cage lining.
Customer Rating:
Summary: it keeps me interested, good and useful articles
Comment: my teenager daughter and i read them often. for her, she finds them a bit repetitive, and not too different from one edition to the next. for me, it is an easy reading for very busy people, and give me a chance to read a little more on things that i have been concerned about, or needed additional information on, at a glance.
the May edition had a very good article regarding the dangers of plastic which i shared with other folks especially childbearing women and men. i think that is the beauty of these articles, they are not so long as they are not an essay on any subject matter, however, it does provide enough info to get the public's attention so people can go for more research if they wish to get deeper. i will continue receiving my subscriptions.
