Summary: The info is there, but not very well written.
Comment: I have just gone through this book, and I haven't taken the MCATs yet so I can't tell you exactly how useful this book is. What I can tell you is that, while all the information is there, and it is usually presented quite well, this book could really use a good editor.
Besides being full of typos, there are even a few substantial errors in the material. And you don't have to be a science major (which I am) to catch them. Sometimes they just blatantly contradict themselves from one page to the next. And then there's just annoying little things like "too" instead of "two."
So overall, I cannot recommend this book. I gave this a 2-star instead of a 1-star because the information IS all there, and usually its presented pretty clearly. But you have to be on your toes the whole time. Which I guess is not really a bad thing, but if you are going to shell out $50+ for a book, at least get something that is accurate and well written. Being "usually" accurate won't get you very far as a doctor right!?

Summary: The MCAT preparation with this book
Comment: This book is rather extensive. Tries to cover a very wide range of subjects. I must say that lacks clarity in certain subjects regarding Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
Examples:
The valence and atomic orbitals are not clear enough ( and this is a basic point ). The redox reactions are a little short and they don't include inductrial processes, like the extraction from ore.
Of course, for these type of tests, with so vast amount of information to cover, is not easy to make a perfect book.
I would say that, in general, with some modifications, the book might be really excellent
