Summary: Really good book- worth your money

Comment: I'm a high school student. I have tried many stuff out there for SAT. But... because English is my foreign language, it's hard for me to remember all those vocabs. Rock the SAT makes learning vocabs so much more fun and easy. The music are quite similar to what I usually listen to. But don't espect the songs to be exactly like what you listen to normally... They are really good for vocab songs. In the end, if you are willing to learn something... This book will help you a lot.

Summary: Great Idea, Wonderful Book!

Comment: The musics are...some of them are good, but i don't like every pieces. But that doesn't matter a lot. I found this book is really working well the first time I opened it and listened to the first song. The words keep showing in my mind and I can even sing without the music. And it's fun to learn vocabs without enduring any pain. I'd recommend you to get one if you want to have some fun while preparing for SAT!

Summary: I like it, but...

Comment: I like the music and lyrics, but my students don't particularly. I use the CD as "background music" when my middle schoolers are working independently. They definitely prefer this to classical or soundtracks from classic musicals. I think they must be picking up at least a few words subliminally, which is great!

Summary: Rock?

Comment: This didn't "rock" enough to get the kids excited. In fact, it almost got ugly when they accused me of liking Cold Play... which I do, but that's besides the point. They should have called it "Soft Rock the SAT" or "Songs about the SAT Your Parents Might Jam to". The kids preferred "Flocabulary," but, in all seriousness, Rock the SAT had better definitions and materials.

Comment: Our 15 year old daughter really likes the book & cd, to my surprise. I'm glad I purchased it.

Rock the SAT is not just a gimmick; it actually gets results.”-Colin Mysliwiec, SAT tutor, NYC

“If I had listened to Rock the SAT instead of Bon Jovi when I was in high school, I would've gotten into Harvard.”-Joshua Neuman, editor-in-chief and publisher of Heeb magazine,

Wake Up and Smell the Music!

You have to take the SATs. There's no way out of it. (Seriously, we tried.)

So suck it up, and buy this book. Why? Because it's the fastest, easiest, coolest way to learn the vocabulary words you're going to see on the test. What makes it so easy? Music. (You like music, don't you?) 13 slamming tunes on one tricked-out CD with a study guide crammed with song lyrics, definitions, and twisted sentences featuring the vocab in action. Just pop it in your iPod or car stereo. Then kick back, listen, and learn. It's like studying but without the studying part. Buy it quick before the man shuts us down!

Pop quiz: Do you want to score major points? Do you want to kick butt on your verbals?

Yes, there will be a test.
