Summary: A busy book
Comment: This appears to be a pretty good book, but it is definitely not for young children. It is too full of busy pictures for my 18-month old (who already speaks and understands a good amount of German, Spanish, French and English.
Customer Rating:
Summary: Good for all ages!
Comment: I bought this book on a lark for my (then) 1-year old since we decided to teach her my mother's native language. Now at 16-months, she really enjoys looking at the illustrations. It is cleverly designed with individual images along the page edges and one large picture incorporating all the smaller ones. They're thoughtfully done by "scenes": in the classroom, at the airport, in the grocery store, etc.
Excellent resource for anyone but especially the younger set!
Customer Rating:
Summary: from a 5 year old's perspective
Comment: WE moved to Germany and knew nothing about the language. My five year old (and his parents) have learned a great deal of vocabulary from this book. My son and his German friend use it to help each other out. We, the parents, use it because of it's user-friendly pronunciation key and quick alphabetical guide in the back!
Customer Rating:
Summary: Super cute!
Comment: Something i think that helps a lot as a childrens type dictionary for german.
